Absolutely, if you would prefer the flexibility of your own vehicle, we are happy to help coordinate a car rental for your stay. Morocco is a beautiful country to explore at your own pace, and Waze works great for directions. If that is your preference, reach out to me at hafssachbihi@gmail.com and I can put you in contact with a preferred rental agency.
You can also go through major US rental companies such Avis, Hertz, Progressive….
WHERE TO STAY
-
We have secured a room block at Hotel Zaki Meknès, our recommended base for the wedding weekend. Hotel Zaki is a well-appointed modern hotel offering comfortable rooms, multiple restaurants, a pool, and a nightclub — everything you need to relax, celebrate, and recover in style. More info in the accommodations tab
For those who prefer a quieter, more immersive experience, Meknès has a wonderful selection of traditional riads nestled within the ancient Medina. Staying in a riad offers beautiful architecture, intimate courtyards, and a truly authentic Moroccan atmosphere. We are happy to share recommendations — just reach out to us directly. -
We recommend arriving no later than August 12th and departing on August 16th or 17th at the earliest.
If you would like to make the most of your trip, we wholeheartedly encourage you to explore Morocco beyond the wedding weekend. The country is extraordinary and just a short journey from Meknès you will find some of the world's most captivating cities — the elegant coastal capital Rabat, the vibrant energy of Casablanca, the rose-coloured splendour of Marrakesh, and the ancient medina of neighbouring Fès.

Your presence at our wedding - especially travelling all this way - is the greatest gift we could ask for. Should you wish to give a gift, we will have card box at the venue.

Cash is king!
The Moroccan currency is the Dirham (MAD). We recommend exchanging currency at a local bureau de change upon arrival. Most hotels and larger restaurants accept cards, but cash is useful for souks, tips, and smaller establishments. ATMs are readily available throughout Meknès and Morocco.
